- Florida Statute § 61.13. This statute guides the courts to determine appropriate parenting plans, and to set child support.
- Florida Statute § 61.075. Florida courts start with this statute as they decide how to divide marital assets and liabilities.
- Florida Statute § 61.08. This statute is the starting point for alimony determinations in Florida.
- Florida Statute § 61.13001. When a parent wishes to relocate more than 50 miles, they must file a Petition to Relocate. This statute guides the court as it determines whether the relocation should be allowed and, if the relocation occurs, what timesharing schedule should be followed after the relocation.
- Florida Statute § 61.16. Florida courts have the authority to order one party of another to pay for the costs of litigation in a divorce. This statute governs that decision.
- Florida Statute § 61.046. This statute contains definitions for commonly used terms in Chapter 61 concerning Florida Dissolution of Marriage cases.
